The Tribe Tokes King Louis XIII THCa Vape Cart is fit for royalty and ready for all my tree-loving stoners. And I don’t mean trees like weed; I mean trees like big, beautiful blue spruces and Douglas firs. This vape cart tastes like a forest of pine trees, lifting you up with a crisp taste and letting you down softly with a cozy indica high.

This premium vape cart comes at a premium price, so it’s not a free walk through the woods. But it’s worth it if you want the royal treatment.

Lift Level: How Strong Is This?

This THCa vape contains 475mg THCa, which converts into Delta-9 THC once it’s heated. It loses some weight after the conversion, so the final potency is about 418mg Delta-9 THC, or 41.8%. This is a potent product, so I don’t recommend it for newbies.

However, Tribe Tokes uses genuine hemp extracts, so you get the full spectrum of cannabinoids and terpenes and all that jazz. The vape resin contains small amounts of CBD, CBV, CBG, CBN, and CBT. The doses are small, but still help create a more upbeat and well-rounded high (more on that later, friends).

While the potency might be 41.8%, the high will be stronger. The cannabinoids prop each other up — it’s called the entourage effect — so they work together to empower one another, like badass women. Don’t worry, though; just because the high might be stronger, it doesn’t mean it’ll be overwhelming or uncomfortable. The other cannabinoids can combat paranoia and make for a more enjoyable high. But, as always, it depends on your tolerance and body chemistry.

Overall, this cart is for people who know what they’re doing and want a solid high. It’s not easy to microdose with a vape, but newbies could also try a lil’ puff at a time and see how they feel. The best thing about inhalants is they hit within seconds, so you don’t have to play the waiting game.

High Times: How Will it Make You Feel?

Alrighty, so what’s the vibe here? The King Louis strain is usually an indica, but can also be an indica-leaning hybrid. This concentrate feels like the latter to me — not too sleepy or yawny, but still wonderfully soothing. It’s a comforting experience, with an uplifting and euphoric feeling.

The cart does deliver some light body sensations, helping release muscle tension, but it was mostly a head high for me. The worries slide away, and you can really lock in on that new season of “American Dad.” It’s one of my favorite strains for dealing with work stress (yeah, cannabis writers have work stress too!), so I highly recommend having it ready to go at the end of your weekday.

I know it’s an indica, but I also find the euphoria pleasant for morning tokes. It’s not necessarily energizing, but it doesn’t turn you into a slug, so you can be out and about while riding this royal wave. Remember, it’s a full spectrum cart with a dose of CBG, which is supposedly an energizing cannabinoid. So I wouldn’t label this strain as a “downer.”

The King also conjured a few feasts, hitting the munchies button in my brain and forcing me to dive into some holiday Hershey’s Kisses. The little hot cocoa ones! This vape doesn’t produce ridiculously strong munchies, so those of you with willpower can resist.

Munch Factor: How Does it Taste?

This one’s for my woodsmen and woodswomen (and woodsenbys)! The profile is distinctly pine-y, woody, and earthy. It’s like inhaling a fresh Christmas tree, with that invigorating and sharp taste that wakes you up a bit. That’s one reason I don’t find this to be a sleepy indica. The sweet, woody pine taste gives you a little shiver that keeps you uplifted.

It’s crisp but earthy at the same time, pairing richness with lightness for a beautifully balanced flavor. I’ve found King Louis to be a bit spicy and punchy in the past, but this particular concentrate was much fresher. No hints or sourness or chemically flavors. So if you hate a diesel-y, you should be okay with this cart.

Like with the other Tribe Tokes vape carts I’ve tried, these deliver a smooth and consistent pull. The pine-flavored concentrate can have a crispness or sharpness on your tongue, but it’s not harsh. It’s kind of like a really strong mint.

What’s super important to me is that these vapes never get clogged. Not once have I had to stick a toothpick into a Tribe Tokes cart, nor have I sucked in a blob of resin. I hate both those things. Even when I use a subpar vape battery with the carts, they still perform beautifully.

Also shoutout to this stylish and simple Edie Parker Flower Vape Battery!

Shelf Appeal: What’s the Vibe?

The Tribe Tokes carts look as clean as they hit, with a gold and white aesthetic that feels luxe but understated. A tiny detail that I appreciate is that each cart has the strain (or an abbreviation of it) on the mouthpiece. No more finding loose carts in my nightstand and having to guess what they are!

The brand brings an elegance to its cannabis products without taking itself too seriously. They honor the chill, fun energy stoners are all about, while also elevating this genre so it’s not all Cheech and Chong, groovy, hippie-dippie vibes either. (No hate to Cheech and Chong, it’s just not the ‘70s anymore).

Bud for Your Buck: What’s the Price?

Here’s where some of you might check out, and that’s okay. A 1g vape cart is $60, which isn’t exactly a steal. The average price for a 1g live resin cart is usually between $30 and $40. But in that price range, you could get a crappy concentrate or a great one. With Tribe Tokes, you know you’re getting a premium product. From the cart design to the concentrate itself, it’s all top-quality, and it’s worth $60 if you have the money to burn vape.

BUT, you can bring the price per 1g cart down. They have a subscribe and save option, which gets you 10% off, as well as savings if you buy more than one cart at a time. The cost can come down to $45 per cart with all the discounts.

Canna-Conclusion

King Louis XIII is for the tree-huggers. This pine-coded, earthy, crisp flavor profile is like a breezy walk through the forest, and the high matches that dreamy, serene vibe as well. Bring it on a hike; take it to bed; hit it before dinner. This King is here to serve you.

Bonus Buds

If you want more Tribe Tokes goodies, I can’t recommend the Ice Cream Cake THCa Vape Cart enough. It’s just as smooth, but with a creamy, sweet taste that never disappoints.

For those of you who love the tree taste, try the Cheech + Chong RS11 + Northern Lights Prerolls, which have a similarly woody profile and calming indica high.

Skip the vape and get the fresh stuff! The Tribe Tokes Jealousy THCa Flower, which also has an invigorating, minty flavor profile and soft high.

As if my own life didn’t have enough drama (Reader, trust that it did), I decided to become a marriage counselor. In the weeks leading up to my internship, I practiced my poker face. Even the most salacious story from my group chat’s weekly recap of online dating sexcapades was not getting a Housewives-worthy facial expression out of me anymore.

It didn’t take long to learn, though, that folks weren’t coming to my office for storytime. For many, it was a question of discovering what actually made them feel good and excited to explore. And sex toys, such as remote-controlled vibrators, can help jumpstart that exploration.

“If we don’t know what we like and don’t like, it’s difficult to communicate or find that with another person,” says Sarah Kelleher, LCSW and Sex and Relationships Psychotherapist. “Conversations surrounding technique, toys, and myth-busting are common. But I think they could be discussed more.”

When it comes to introducing toys like partner-controlled vibrators into your sex life, Kelleher recommends leading with curiosity and including your partner in the research. She offers a simple script: Hey, babe, I know we talked about wanting to shake our sex life up. Do you want to look up some toys to buy? I’m feeling excited!

Quick Look at the Best Remote Control Vibrators

Best overall partner-controlled vibrator: We-Vibe Moxie Tease Us Vibrating Silicone Clitoral Vibrator Boxed Set

The Tease Us set is high on our list for its versatility and anatomical inclusivity. Unlike many sets, you can customize yours to fit your and your partner’s needs (and bodies). For example, this kit comes with a panty vibrator (Moxie). But it’s also available as a vibrating stimulation ring (Bond). Mix and match—Moxie and Bond, or opt for two Moxies or two Bonds. Additionally, the silicone toys have adjustable fits to help them work best for your body.

The toys’ vibration settings can be controlled by an app or a remote control. The remote works up to distances of 3 meters, while the We-Vibe app lets you control each other’s toys even when you’re apart. To get started, you’ll configure your toy to your partner’s phone. Having the option to switch between the remote and the app makes this an ideal set for both in-person and long-distance play.

Best overall Bluetooth vibrator: Lovense Lush 3

Lovense made a big claim when it released the Lovense Lush 3, dubbing it the “most powerful Bluetooth remote control vibrator.” Hard to live up to? Yes. Did Lovense deliver? Also, yes, according to many of the satisfied reviewers.

While advanced Bluetooth connectivity and a super-strong motor are certainly draws, what makes the Lovense Lush 3 stand out from the crowd is that IRL, it doesn’t. The toy is discreet and quiet, meaning you can use it anywhere. And we mean anywhere. With a five-hour battery life, the Lovense Lush 3 is a solid option for your next date night with your partner.

Also noteworthy: the Lovense Remote App. This isn’t your average remote-control HQ. The Lovense app has tons of curated vibration patterns for you and your partner to explore, and it makes it easy to hand off control, whether you’re across the room or across the country.

Best affordable couples’ vibrator: Tiani 3 remote control couples’ massager

Tiani 3 is a remote control vibrator that doubles as a couples’ massager toy. Unlike a lot of the toys on this list that are built with long-distance play in mind, this is a great option if you’re looking for a partner-controlled vibrator designed to enhance sensation during sex (for both of you).

With its trademark SenseMotion technology, your partner can use the motion-sensitive remote to increase the toy’s vibrations with just a flick of the wrist. It features eight different intensity settings, from the faintest tease to a more intense pulse. It’s made from certified body-safe silicone designed to feel super soft and warm to the touch. The Tiani 3 is also fully waterproof, so you can use it in the bath or shower, too.

Best budget Wearable vibrator: JimmyJane Ascend 3 + Carpo Vibrating Panties

When it comes to wearable vibrators, the luxury sexual wellness retailer JimmyJane makes easy-to-use, minimalist toys, and lingerie to match. The Ascend 3 is a pebble-shaped clitoral stimulator that can be used as a handheld toy, or worn when paired with JimmyJane’s lace panties.

The underwear is designed with a little pocket where your typical panty liner would be, which is where you can slip the Ascend 3 once you turn the vibrator on and put it in Standby Mode. Once it’s in Standby Mode, the Ascend 3 can start taking signals from the included remote control, which you can pass to your partner for some discreet fun.

While the Ascend 3 has one of the shortest battery lives on this list at 60 minutes, we appreciate that the remote only needs charging every 10 hours.

BEST VIBRATOR made for the club: OhMiBod Club Vibe 3.0H Wearable Panty Vibrator

Another notable wearable panty vibrator comes from OhMiBod. Like the Ascend 3, the Club Vibe 3.0H is a clitoral stimulator. As the name suggests, this wearable vibrator is designed for taking your bumping and grinding at the club to new levels. It actually has a Club Mode that vibrates to music or other ambient sounds.

That’s not its only function, though. It also has a Groove Mode that vibrates to curated pulse patterns. Like many of the toys on this list, you can hand over control to your partner using the included remote.

Best wearable egg vibrator: We-Vibe Jive 2

For a different kind of wearable vibrator, consider the We-Vibe Jive 2. This wearable egg vibrator sends vibrations to the G-spot, and vibrations travel through the outer tail for a dual-stimulation feel.

Unlike wearable panty vibrators, We-Vibe’s Jive 2 can be adjusted to fit your body best. And like the others, it’s whisper quiet and discreet enough to use at home or out in public. We also appreciate the versatility of its control settings: you can hand over the remote to your partner, or use the We-Vibe app to control the vibrator.

Best APP-CONTROLLED vibrator: Lovense Hyphy App-Controlled Clitoral Vibrator

Another pick from Lovense, the Hyphy app-controlled vibrator gives all its attention to the clit. It also offers a wider range of vibrational frequencies from low to high. On the highest intensity side, it provides 12,000 vibrations per minute, designed for clitoral stimulation or nipple play. Meanwhile, the lower frequency side reduces the intensity to 5,000 vibrations per minute, making it better for slower sessions and internal exploration.

The vibrator comes with three different silicone attachments and can be controlled through the Lovense app, where you can program up to 10 preset modes and control the vibrator, near or far.

Best suction vibrator: We-Vibe Melt 2 App Controlled Rechargeable Clitoral Stimulator

With a nearly 5-star rating, the We-Vibe Melt 2 is a quality clitoral stimulator—especially if you’re already plugged into the We-Vibe app through your other toys. The We-Vibe Melt stands out from other picks on this list because it uses more than just vibration technology: it also utilizes pulsing and sucking sensations to bring you to powerful clitoral orgasms.

Plus, it has 6 suction patterns, all of which you or your partner can control in the We-Vibe app. And it’s totally silent. Truly versatile, it can be used solo, or during sex with your partner.

Best hands-free vibrator: Phoenix Neo 2 Vibrator

App-controlled vibrators aren’t just for play with your partner. There are plenty of Bluetooth vibrators out there that are perfect for adding more excitement to your solo sessions, too. Take the Phoenix Neo 2 Vibrator, for example. It can be used totally hands-free, thanks to its snug fit and malleability, which help it adjust to a comfortable placement.

You can use the Bluetooth Fee Connect App to control intensity levels, pick from preset patterns, and even sync the Phoenix up with videos or music. And if you do choose to bring a partner in, you can hand over the controls to them.

Best budget egg vibrator: Lovehoney Rechargeable Remote Control Small Love Egg

Shopping for a toy that’s super simple? Try Lovehoney’s silicone Love Egg toy. Grab your favorite lube and slip the egg inside to start enjoying hands-free stimulation wherever you are.

The small remote-control egg vibrator has seven vibration patterns and four intensity levels. Taken together, you can find your own sweet spot. We also appreciate that the Lovehoney Love Egg is designed with a long retrieval cord, keeping safety in mind. It’s got plenty of 5-star reviews on Lovehoney, with customers praising its quality and ease of use.

How to pick the best remote-controlled vibrator For You

We’re taking Kelleher’s advice to heart and talking about all things remote-controlled vibrators. Whether you want to bring your partner in on the fun with a partner-controlled vibrator, or you’re looking for a high-tech Bluetooth vibrator you can use on your own, I’ve selected toys designed with both pleasure and safety in mind.

“Approaching your body with calm, warm curiosity rather than judgment is key,” she says.

Overwhelmed about where to start? Kelleher poses some guiding questions for exploring new toys: “What are you trying to achieve? Is it a new sensation? Is it one that offers a certain type of stimulation that is difficult to reach? Is it a versatile toy? This will help in determining what type of toy might be the best fit.”

For couples in long-distance relationships (or just spending time away from each other), app-controlled vibrators can be a great place to start since they offer a way to keep sharing sexual intimacy even when IRL is off the table. Meanwhile, partner-controlled vibrators can also be a good fit when you’re exploring kinks together, like relinquishing control to your partner or arousing each other in public.

With that in mind, I’ve combed through reviews from satisfied shoppers and spoken to experts to give you a launching point for your own explorations.

And remember: “We don’t need to judge what you do or don’t find intriguing,” says Kelleher. “We’ve had enough of that.”

They’re small, they’re sneaky, and they’re surprisingly affordable. Cannabis vapes are one of the most common ways people get high these days, leaving joints and bongs at home and taking vapes out and about. These small devices (also known as dab pens), whether it’s a disposable or a replaceable cartridge, are convenient and a breeze to use. No packing bowls or cleaning up ashtrays or rolling wonky blunts. All it takes to toke is the press of a button.

I tested a wide range of vapes to find the most delectable options, from classic THCa vapes to funky HHC vapes and beyond. These are the ones that made the top of my list based on the formula, high, flavor, and design (because we love a discreet vape). Whatever flavor, strain, or vape type you like, you’ll find a stellar option on this list.

Overview my favorite THC Vapes

Best THCa Vape: Mood Sour Diesel THCa Vape

Courtesy of author

Sour Diesel is an iconic strain, and with the Mood Sour Diesel THCa Vape, you can take it with you wherever you go.

Mood’s tiny vape packs a punch, with 50% THCa that creates an invigorating feel that is definitely sativa. It’s an energizing sensation that helps you come out of your shell. If you’re being dragged to a trivia night or football game where you’re afraid of being awkward, take this with you. The high helps you be social and comfortable, so you can be an extrovert for a little while.

The flavor stays true to the Sour Diesel flower, with a gassy and punchy taste. You get a skunky and chemical-like taste, which at face value sounds awful, but if you know Sour Diesel, you know it’s good. It has a robustness that’s enticing. In this vape, the intensity of the flavors is dialed down, so it might be more palatable for people who find Sour Diesel flower to be too much.

Mood makes its disposable vapes slim and sleek, so you can hide them just about anywhere — bag, bra, pocket, etc. — so you can get high wherever you go. The simple design, with a small LED screen, makes it wonderfully discreet, so you won’t out yourself as a stoner when you need a puff in the middle of the day.

Best THCa Diamonds Vape: Koi Baja Blast THCa Diamonds Vape

Courtesy of author

The Koi Baja Blast THCa Diamonds Vape is a powerful vape that delivers the refreshing flavor of your favorite Taco Bell drink.

Made with THCa diamonds, the high from this disposable vape is no joke. It features a combination of liquid THCa diamonds, Delta-8 THC, and THCP, creating a fast-hitting and insane high that’s nothing but wonderful. Be ready for the giggles and a talkative mood. I don’t recommend it if you have anything important to do. But if you’re trying to have a blast doing nothing with your best friend, you can laugh your ass off at anything with this.

Baja Blast flower isn’t super mainstream, but this vape proves that it’s a must-try strain. It’s like a tropical breeze and an icy cold drink, but it’s a vape. Hints of marshmallow and sugar make it a sweet treat that slides down your throat like ice cream. The natural terpenes introduced into the concentrate mimic the drink (and strain) perfectly. A few hits of this might be a better pairing for a Crunch Wrap Supreme than the actual Baja Blast.

The vape has a chunkier design than the skinny pens you see. With a bright turquoise mouthpiece and handy LED screen, the disposable vape is cheerful and easy to use. It’s not the most discreet in your pocket, but it can still be hidden.

Best Delta-8 Vape: Mood Delta-8 THC Runtz Vape

Courtesy of author

If you love D8, the Mood Delta-8 THC Runtz Vape is waiting for you, with a candy taste and a clear high.

Formulated with HHC, THCP, and Delta-8 THC, it creates a grounded high that still allows you to function without forgetting your name. A lot of products will leave you hazy and slow, but this one lets you keep up with the day while feeling goooood. It’s not for napping. Instead, the uplifting high is ideal for socializing and being active. Go on a run; go to a party; go get shit done. This high makes you want to focus on something; otherwise, you might get antsy.

The appropriately named strain tastes just like the Runtz candy, so it’s sugary and fruity and bright. It’ll probably make you crave candy. You get hints of apricots, berries, mangos, oranges, and plums, so there’s a little bit of everything in there. While it tastes like processed candy, the vape only contains natural terpenes — none of the synthetic stuff.

And Mood ensures its vapes are sneaky enough to take anywhere, with a lowkey design that’s comfortable to use and small enough to hide. You have to hold down on the one button to take a hit, which helps maintain battery life. The juice lasts forever, so the odds are having to recharge are low. And despite the small design, the vape is durable. I even ran one through the washer and dryer, and it came out working just fine.

Best THCP Vape: Diet Smoke Blue Dream THCP Vape Cartridge

Courtesy of author

I generally prefer cartridges over disposables, so I’m delighted to recommend the Diet Smoke Blue Dream THCP Vape Cartridge

It contains the perfect amount of THCP to create a strong but comfortable high. Actually, it has a more complex blend of compounds, with 700mg HHC, 100mg CBG, 50mg THCP, and 50mg HHCO. But it’s one of the highest concentrations of THCP in a cart, which heavily influences the high. You get to feel relaxed but still energized, comfortable but buzzy, awake but laidback. It’s truly a dream, and offers a versatile sensation that works for all hours and all occasions. You can stay clear-headed while floating on a blue cloud of peacefulness.

While some vapes can be super fruity or punchy, the Blue Dream strain delivers a softer profile. It tastes like sweet blueberries without being too bold. Anyone who loves a lighter flavor will appreciate the airy quality of the taste, which matches the soft smoke that comes from this cart. It’s like a blue mist that swirls into your lungs, making it one of the easiest vapes to enjoy.

Unlike disposable vapes, carts don’t have a ton of room for unique design. But Diet Smoke still created something that stands out, with a clear mouthpiece that looks and feels modern. Instead of a skinny tip, the mouthpiece is the same shape as the rest of the cart and most batteries, with a funnel shape inside to channel the smoke. It’s comfortable to use and feels unique.

Biggest Vape: Koi Slurricane THC Vape

Courtesy of author

For people who rip through vape after vape, buying new ones can be a chore — and expensive. The massive 5g Koi Slurricane THC Vape is big enough to keep you satisfied for quite a while.

Everyone smokes at a different pace, but even the heaviest users will get plenty of time out of this 5-gram THC vape. And it’s definitely not a weak 5g. It’s a live resin vape with THCa, THCP, Delta-8 THC, and Delta-9 THC, packing a full punch of cannabinoids. The high is delightful, making any activity relaxing and effortless. I don’t recommend this vape if you need brain power to get things done. But repetitive and somewhat mindless tasks, like folding laundry or walking the dog, become breezy and chill. The indica Slurricane concentration puts your mind and body at ease, so you can just vibe.

It’s all grape here. The vape stays true to the Slurricane flavor profile, which is berry-forward and heavy, heavy, heavy on the grape taste. If you’re not into grape, this isn’t for you. But for the grape jam and jelly lovers, this is irresistible. I’m not normally a grape girl, but it’s hard not to crave the fresh but decadent fruit flavor here.

Despite being a fat 5g vape, it’s still tiny and easy to hold in your palm. The LED screen on the side shows you the heat level (there are three options) and battery percentage. My favorite part is the soft silicone texture that feels supple on your fingertips. It makes the vape hard to put down, but with 5g of concentrate, you won’t need to put it down.

Best Tasting Vape: Tre House Texas Peach Cobbler THCa Vape

Courtesy of author

Who doesn’t love a warm peach cobbler? The Tre House Texas Peach Cobbler THCa Vape is a supremely tasty THCa vape that will make you lick your lips.

Like all things in Texas, this is a big vape. It contains 3.5g of Peach Cobbler THCa concentrate. Many vapes contain an amalgamation of THC variants and cannabinoids, but this one is straight THCa, which means you’re only getting Delta-9 THC in every hit.

This is ideal for people who don’t want to mess around with the synthetic or more modern cannabinoids, like THCP or Delta-8 THC. It’s just the good ‘ole THC we all know. It delivers that classic high, full of euphoria and calmness. Enjoy the upbeat but clear high that comes with this vape.

The high is fabulous, but the flavor is unparalleled. It has the juicy, fruity taste of peaches and other stone fruits, like apricots and nectarines, along with the warm and spicy flavors of cobbler. There are hints of cinnamon and vanilla that give it that cozy depth that reminds you have peach cobbler fresh from the oven. The smoke is also light, with an airy texture that tickles your throat, but doesn’t make you hack up a lung.

The vape has Texas-sized flavor and a Texas-sized dose of live rosin, but still comes in a small package. Its design is like a mini Geek Bar, so it’s rectangular, but has a much smaller profile. You can fit it in your pocket or your palm, keeping the juicy high on the down-low.

11 Best Sex Toys for Men, According to Horny Reviewers https://www.vice.com/en/article/best-sex-toys-for-men/ Tue, 30 Dec 2025 14:00:00 +0000 https://www.vice.com/?p=18031 Load up on classic male masturbators, futuristic penis strokers, and a sex toy that could “suck a tennis ball through a garden hose.”

The post 11 Best Sex Toys for Men, According to Horny Reviewers appeared first on VICE.

]]>
Have you seen sex toys lately? They’re looking pretty sick, whether you’re into aesthetic glass dildos that belong in MoMA’s Sculpture Garden or a fuckable silicone foot. But in the midst of this rising tide of horny tools, the evolution of male sex toys still tends to feel… mysterious? Less mainstream?

Female sex toys have had a glossy, celebrity-backed glow-up (hello, Dakota Johnson selling vibrators that look like they belong next to linen sheets), while male sex toys have quietly leveled up without the same cultural confidence. The products are genuinely good now—everything from simple sleeves to sleek, headphone-adjacent tech—but the vibe is still weirdly shy, as if comparing strokers is more taboo than comparing monitors.

A quick Instagram poll made that tension clear: opinions were split between fans and skeptics, with a noticeable chunk of guys curious but overwhelmed, unsure where to even start. That confusion isn’t a bad sign—it just means there are more options than ever. And honestly, we’ll take “spoiled for choice” over shame and a sad beaded-curtain selection any day. So, in the spirit of sex-positive evolution and practical pleasure, here’s a spotlight on the male sex toys actually worth your time, whether you’re spending $25 or going full Daddy Warbucks.

Best for Leveling Up Your Solo Game: LELO F1S V3

Look, most of us are pretty plugged in. We’ve been getting off to things on our screens forever, so it was only a matter of time before someone tried to turn “device guy” energy into an actual sex toy.

No, I’m not talking about cramming that in there. I’m talking about the LELO F1S V3, which is basically a next-gen stroker for people who want their pleasure to feel engineered. The big difference with the V3 is that it’s not trying to mimic oral or penetration; it’s built around SenSonic technology, which uses sonic pulses to resonate around the penis, plus these auto-adjusting liquid silicone ribs that are meant to make the whole thing feel more immersive without you having to do a ton of manual work.

It’s also app-connected, and the app is where you unlock more of what you paid for, including extra settings and an AI interactive mode that responds to your movement in real time. In non-LELO language: it reacts as you move it, instead of you just cycling through a preset and hoping you picked the right one.

VICE’s own Barney Flake tested and reviewed the F1S, an earlier model, and the general takeaway still holds: if you want increased stimulation or simply can’t go as aggressively as you’d like with your hand alone, the F1S line is a legit upgrade. The V3 just leans harder into the whole “hands-free-ish, techy, responsive” experience, for better or worse, depending on how much you want your orgasm to feel like it came with firmware.

Best For size queens (and kings): Lovehoney Mega Mighty 2 Extra Inches Girthy Penis Extender with Ball Loop

If you or your partner fantasizes about going bigger and pumps aren’t your thing, an extender is a pretty straightforward solution. This one is built to add length and girth while keeping things wearable and relatively simple.

Depending on your natural size, Lovehoney says the Mega Mighty can add up to 2 inches of additional length to your shaft, with a realistic head and texture and an impressive 6.5 inches of girth. It can also help some people stay harder longer, though bodies vary and there’s no universal guarantee.

With its veiny, textured shaft and chonky head, the Mega Mighty was definitely designed with the receiver in mind—but that doesn’t mean the wearer doesn’t get to have any fun. Simply add some lube to the inside of the extender, and you get a pleasing two-way experience for all parties involved.

We also like the clear, soft material if you’re not into the whole “mystery pink” color thing. But if you are into that, it comes in that too, plus a range of sizes, so you’re not forced into one shape or fantasy.

Most Likely to Ruin Other Toys for You: Gluck Gluck 3000

If the name isn’t enough to tell you what the Gluck Gluck 3000 is going for, allow me to clarify. This is a blowjob machine, and it is not shy about it.

It’s gone semi-viral in part because the name is… a lot, and because the reviews are even more a lot. One reviewer writes, “This thing will drain your family jewels so much that by day 3, only dust comes out when you reach climax! I haven’t left the house in 3 weeks because of this machine.”

Mechanically, it’s designed to do one thing. It’s not a classic stroker. It’s built to simulate oral with a rotating chamber and a lot of internal movement, plus vibration. It also brags about having “over 100 soft, tickling fingers” inside. Fellas, your partner is not arriving with 100 silicone fingers. That’s just math.

Best Cheap Thrill That Still Delivers: Fleshlight Quickshot

In this economy, a $2,000 lifelike sex doll isn’t always in the cards (you’ll just have to wait for that tax return). But just because you’re not dropping rent money on a toy doesn’t mean your hand has to be the whole plan.

Enter the Fleshlight Quickshot: portable, easy to stash, and one of the more approachable upgrades if you want something better than nothing without committing to a giant sleeve you have to baby. It’s soft, it’s discreet-looking, and it’s built for people who want something simple.

It also has dual entry, which makes it easier to clean and opens up some options if you and your partner both have penises. Fleshlight sells its own cleaning solution and renewal powder, but plenty of people keep it basic with rubbing alcohol and cornstarch. Clean your toys after every use. It’s not hard. Only laziness can ruin your life here.

There are also Fleshlight Girls Quickshots modeled after porn stars. One end has their lips and the other their vaginas, both molded on their own, um, features. If that’s your thing, it’s variety, and with names like Autumn Falls and Stoya, you can spice up your stroker collection with a less generic sleeve.

Best Gateway (and Endgame) Toy: Tenga Spinner

It’s a common misconception that you have to ball out to bring home a great sex toy. The Tenga Spinner is a longtime best-selling penis stroker on Amazon and has earned its laurels from its 6,000 reviewers. It has a modern, visually appealing design and is far better than your hand, but not so involved that you’ll need to give it its own room.

The Spinner has an internal coil that creates a textured spinning effect in use, which one Amazon reviewer said is utterly unique. As he writes, “There is something about the feel of this toy that drives my body wild.” It’s not exactly realistic, but not every sex toy has to mimic intercourse to be worth using.

Tenga is one of the big names in male sex toys for a reason: consistent quality, widely available, and priced low enough that it doesn’t feel like a high-stakes gamble.

Luxury Prostate Toy That Actually Earns the Hype: Hugo Massaging Butt Plug

If you’re going to splurge on a prostate toy, LELO is usually the safest place to do it, because their stuff feels intentionally made instead of flimsy, buzzy, or like it’s going to die the second it sees a little lube. The Hugo is their prostate massager, and it’s popular for a reason: smooth, manageable shape, plus dual motors that give you that deeper, rumblier vibration people actually want from a P-spot toy.

The Amazon reviews are predictably horny and dramatic, which is how you know it’s doing something. One reviewer writes, “[It’s] simply amazing if you want to be like Spider-Man, and shoot webs across the room.”

It also comes with a remote, which is genuinely useful because switching settings shouldn’t require you to contort like you’re trying to retrieve a contact lens from under the bed. It’s pricey, but it’s the kind of pricey that at least feels like you’re paying for power and design, not just branding.

Best Overall Male Masturbator: Fleshlight Flight Aviator

Fleshlight is basically the Toyota Camry of male toys: not because it’s boring, but because it’s the option people land on when they want something that works and won’t betray them. The Flight Aviator is the slightly hotter, more futuristic version of the classic sleeve, like Fleshlight decided to make something that looks less “adult store embarrassment” and more “lost piece of a spaceship.”

Inside, it’s still doing what Fleshlights do best: textured stimulation with that suction/vacuum feeling you can dial in. Reviewers are obsessed with that part. One Amazon reviewer wrote, “I really like it more than the original Fleshlight. It has a lot more vacuum/suction control.” Translation: if you like a toy that grips back instead of just sitting there politely, this one’s a strong bet.

Most Aggressive Suction on the Internet: EINSEO Male Masturbator

It’s no small feat to hit Amazon No. 1 bestseller status in the male toy category, but this powerful peen machine from EINSEO is popular for one specific reason: suction power.

As one reviewer writes, “It will suck a tennis ball through a garden hose,” and yes, that is the exact kind of sentence you only see in sex toy reviews. It has multiple vibration and suction modes, plus a “Climax Mode” that cranks things up when you’re ready to tap out in the best way.

People rave about the sleeve feel, the suction strength, and the fact that it comes apart for cleaning. Again: clean your toys. Things get grim fast if you don’t. It also has app control modes and charges via USB-C, which is honestly just nice because no one wants yet another weird proprietary cable in their drawer.

The only downside with toys like this is that they’re not always quiet. The EINSEO is marketed as reasonably low-noise, but if you live with roommates and your walls are thin, plan accordingly.

Sleekest, Least Intimidating Penis Pump: JASLAK Vibrating Penis Pump

Penis pumps are technically a “prep” toy, but let’s be real: plenty of people use them because they feel good, full stop. They’re great for edging, they’re great for warming things up, and they’re great if you like the whole build-and-tease part of sex more than the sprint-to-the-finish part.

The Jaslak is one of those Amazon bestsellers that looks suspiciously sleek for something that’s literally designed to suck your dick. It has multiple suction modes, a little digital screen so you can see what level you’re on, and a detachable bullet vibe with a bunch of intensity settings—because apparently we’ve reached the era where even pumps come with accessories.

Reviewers tend to like it for the same reason people like any gadget that claims to be “smart”: it gives you options. You can keep it gentle and steady, crank it up, use it for stamina practice, or just use it because the sensation is its own reward. The only real rule is: don’t get cocky. Go slow, listen to your body, and don’t treat it like you’re trying to jump-start a car.

It’s USB-C rechargeable and waterproof, which means you can rinse it easily and, if you’re a shower person, take the whole situation in there without making it a bigger ordeal than it needs to be.

Best Cock Ring for Extra Stimulation Everywhere: Bed Ringer

A vibrating cock ring is one of those toys that earns its keep fast, because it doesn’t require a whole setup or a personality change. You put it on, it does its thing, and suddenly the experience is louder for everyone involved. It can help with staying power, it can add extra stimulation during sex, and the vibrating part can pull double duty as a quick-and-easy clit vibe without anyone having to stop what they’re doing.

Lovehoney’s Bed Ringer is a staff pick and a bestseller for a reason: it’s stretchy, it’s not intimidating, and the little textured clitoral arm is there to actually be useful, not just decorative. Reviewers seem to agree. One person wrote that it fit perfectly on their partner and their dildo, and that it made both situations way better, which is honestly a strong endorsement for something this simple.

It stretches to fit a range of sizes, it’s rechargeable so you’re not hunting down batteries like a raccoon, and it’s controlled with one button, meaning you’re not accidentally opening a submenu when you’re trying to get off. Just stick with water-based lube so you don’t mess up the silicone, and you’re good.

Best “I Didn’t Know I’d Be Into This” Plug: Vibrating Butt Plug

We repeat: backdoor stimulation can feel amazing for men, and there are plenty of anal/prostate toys that sit right on the line between beginner-friendly and still very effective.

Consider the Butt Tingler, one of Lovehoney’s popular picks. The name sounds like a villain, but the toy itself is pretty approachable: slender, slightly tapered for easier insertion, and designed with a base that also hits the perineum while you’re at it.

In other words, it’s doing a lot for a little plug. One reviewer even points out that the button placement is clutch for switching speeds when their partner is on top, which is the kind of detail you only appreciate when you’re mid-moment and not trying to fumble around like you’re defusing a bomb.

Also: don’t make this harder than it needs to be. Use water-based lube (silicone toys and oil don’t mix unless you enjoy ruining your own things), go slow, and you’ll be fine.

It runs on a single AAA battery (not included), which is mildly annoying, but it also means you’re not staring at a blinking charger when you’re trying to get to the point.

How we evaluated THE BEST SEX TOYS FOR MEN

The first question to ask yourself when looking for a male sex toy is, to paraphrase a certain International Man of Mystery: Does it make you horny, baby? Trust your instincts. What feels hot is personal, and no one is getting graded here.

For this guide, I picked a broad range of toy types so you can see what’s out there, and I leaned on top-rated, heavily reviewed options to filter out the stuff that looks promising but ends up feeling like nothing. With so many different bodies and preferences, one person’s opinion is never the whole story.

Please follow basic safety protocols and use toys as designed to avoid injury or other less-than-ideal situations. Trust me, your family does not want that phone call. We also paid attention to quality issues in reviews, including breakage and defects, because if you’re going to spend money on any of this, you should at least get what you paid for.

I remember ordering my first sex toy. It was a dual-ended, purple jelly dildo that I definitely shouldn’t have been buying. I got it from Amazon, as most people do, and it arrived looking like a sausage packed in plastic. It was a horrible choice for my health and my reputation on campus (we had one mailroom where a literal person handed you your packages).

But what else was I supposed to do at 18? Clueless and overwhelmed by the options out there, I settled for a cheap thrill that turned out to be a risky purchase. From vibrators to dildos to butt plugs, there’s a lot to consider.

Since then, I’ve come a long way (pun intended) in expanding my knowledge and appreciation for a wide range of high-quality, body-safe toys designed with pleasure (and safety) in mind.

So, if you’re on the hunt for a new sex toy, whether you know what works for you or you’re a newbie shopping around for the first time, you’ve come to the right place. We’ve got your back. And your front. And… you get the idea.

These are the best sex toys for women or people with vulvas, based on real-world testing. I own and use all of the toys in this roundup, but don’t just take my word for it. I combed through reviews from hundreds of satisfied shoppers, then asked experts to chime in with helpful tips on what to look for when shopping for your next climax-inducing companion.

So strap in for this guide to the wonderful world of women’s sex toys. It’s going to be a wild ride.

Quick look at the best sex toys for women

Now, with all of that in mind, here are my top picks for the best sex toys for women.

Best sex toy overall: Playboy Pleasure Swan Vibrator

It’s so hard to choose just one toy when there are so many options, but the Playboy Pleasure Swan vibrator has had a dedicated place on my nightstand since the day I unboxed it.

This vibrator isn’t just a vibrator—it’s a dual stimulator with two gently curved arms that you can use for all kinds of play. As part of Playboy Pleasure’s Multi-Play collection, this uniquely shaped vibe can do just about anything you want it to. You can use it to stimulate the clitoris and the G-spot, or flip it around for anal and vaginal penetration (just remember not to cross-contaminate).

Each shaft has 10 vibrating speeds, and the bulbous, textured heads make it perfect for internal and external stimulation. You can use it solely for external stimulation and come within seconds, or slowly build yourself up to a more powerful orgasm.

I like to insert one end vaginally and the other anally while I use a third toy or finger on my clitoris. It’s a super versatile toy that’s helped give my solo sessions some serious oomph.

Best wand vibrator: Fun Factory VIM

Fun Factory dropped the VIM, the world’s first weighted-rumble wand, with a ton of fanfare. At first, I admit I was skeptical about whether it could really be that different from other wands I’ve tried.

But the VIM has somehow earned a permanent spot on my nightstand. It’s my go-to now, and I truly believe it’s the best wand vibrator I’ve ever used. (Before the VIM, LELO’s Smart Wand 2 was there for me whenever I wanted a one-and-done orgasm. It’s efficient, powerful, and gets the job done—a good second choice if you can’t get your hands on a VIM.)

The VIM delivers sensations I didn’t even know were possible in a wand: deep, rumbly vibrations that build toward a mind-blowing climax. Instead of an intense buzz that leaves you numb and overstimulated, these vibrations melt into you and reach deep down, building to an all-body orgasm. But that doesn’t mean it can’t be used for a quickie—turn the setting up and place it against your vulva or a pillow (it’s great for grinding against), and you’ll be quivering fast.

Even with all of its power, the VIM is lightweight, and the vibrations don’t travel into the handle, so it’s easier to use than most wand vibrators I’ve tried. It shouldn’t hurt your wrist even after a longer session; it was designed with edging in mind. The buttons are intuitive, and it has a travel lock, so you can toss it in your bag or suitcase without worrying it’ll turn on and die before you get wherever you’re going.

Best bullet vibrator: Je Joue Duet Bullet

There are a lot of great bullet vibrators, but if I had to pick one that’s versatile enough to be most people’s go-to, it’d be the Je Joue Duet Bullet.

It’s smooth to the touch and has several small, rounded “pleasure points” on one side so you can experiment with different sensations. You can use this tiny toy to stimulate your nipples and tease your labia, clitoris, and more.

It has five speeds and seven vibration patterns, but the simplest is my favorite: steady vibration. There’s a travel lock and it’s 100% waterproof, so you can bring it into the shower or tub. It’s also surprisingly quiet, unlike some of the other toys on this list.

Je Joue is a more luxurious brand, so even though the price tag is a bit higher, you’re getting a premium-quality, vegan product built to last.

If you’re looking for a bullet vibrator that’s a little more compact, or one with a convenient-to-hold handle, Playboy Pleasure makes two great alternatives: the Playboy Pleasure Bunny Bunch (best for discreet, targeted clitoral stimulation) and the Playboy Pleasure Ollo (my pick for accessibility thanks to its ring-shaped handle).

Best clit sucking toy: Namii by biird

The Namii by biird is hands down the best clitoral suction stimulator and vibrator I’ve ever tried. (A few years back, I would’ve recommended the Tracy’s Dog OG Sucking Vibrator, which had its big viral moment, but my loyalty has shifted.) biird’s suction toy is unlike any other on the market, and it’s thoughtfully designed with the clit and vulva in mind: pebble-shaped, with a super-soft silicone exterior.

The Namii is a two-in-one toy. You can use the suction and vibration functions independently or combine them for extra oomph. There are five suction intensities and five vibration patterns, so there’s a ton of combinations to play with.

I love how gentle but still super pleasurable the suction feels. The intensities go from a light, pulsing sensation to a deeper, more intense suction that’s oh-so-good—nothing like the overpowering, numbing sensation I’ve experienced with other clit suckers in the past.

I can use this toy for a long time. Well, until it dies, which is about two hours. I place it where it’s most comfortable, underneath my underwear (to help hold it in place), and let it work its magic. And even though the Namii can get me there fast, it’s also ideal for longer, more drawn-out play sessions and edging.

Another thing that sets biird apart is the packaging. It feels like you’re getting a real gift in the mail, complete with a travel bag and cute stickers. Even the charging base features a mood light (you can turn this off if you want).

Best vibrating pussy pump: JimmyJane Apex

The Apex by JimmyJane isn’t just a pussy pump—it’s a multifunctional toy that’s perfect for consensual exhibitionist play, direct clitoral stimulation, or G-spot stimulation. (The voyeur in your life will also love watching you use it, whether you’re literally in front of them or sending saucy snaps.)

There are four motors, three suction patterns, seven tongue-motion patterns, 10 vibration patterns, and a handle that doubles as a G-spot vibrator. The range of sensations is wild, and the intensity can be cranked up to levels far beyond what I’ve experienced with other toys.

You can also see everything going on through the transparent suction cup. (If you’ve never seen your clit and vulva up close and personal, get ready for a new perspective.) It also comes with two different-sized cups, so you can use it on your nipples or other erogenous zones, too.

The combo of suction, vibration, and motion is truly next-level. I have to keep the pump action relatively low; otherwise, it’s almost too much. The tongue-like motions are super intense when the pump runs, so I recommend exploring the patterns independently before trying them together. (The pump and “tongue” are also loud, so if you have roommates, this toy isn’t the most discreet.)

I won’t lie: The Apex has a bit of a learning curve. This toy isn’t for the faint of heart. Try the functions out in a non-sexual context first to get a feel for them before applying the Apex to your vulva/clit. And once you’re ready to play, use lube (lots of it) and start on a lower setting.

Best thrusting vibrator: FemmeFunn Thruster Shaft

I wasn’t a huge fan of thrusting vibrators until I tried the Thruster Shaft by FemmeFunn. (I also couldn’t handle deep penetration until after my second endometriosis surgery, so that’s probably a factor.)

This thrusting vibrator is soft and smooth to the touch. It looks pretty realistic, with “veins” and a head that feels shockingly lifelike. It also comes in skin-tone colors if you’re into that. (I’m not really into realistic-looking toys, so I have a purple one.)

There are 10 vibration modes and three thrust speeds to play with. The suction cup base, which is also harness-compatible, is super secure, so you can attach it almost anywhere: the floor, a chair, or the shower wall. It’s also completely waterproof (I’ve had this thing in the shower more times than I can count, and it still works flawlessly). The quick-release tab on the base makes it easy to detach.

With a one-and-a-half-inch thrust and nearly eight insertable inches, the Thruster Shaft is made for anyone who craves deep penetration and G-spot stimulation. I also love that it doesn’t stop thrusting in response to tension or resistance. Plus, the wireless remote makes it fun to play with a partner. (Sticking it to something you can back up onto is ideal if you want to give your partner head or a show while they control the settings.) Just be sure to use lube before hopping on.

I should note that this thing is loud, depending on where you put it. For reference, sticking it to the side of the bathtub sounds like an off-balance washing machine.

Best dildo: Playboy Pleasure Jewels King Multi-Play Glass Dildo

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I’m obsessed with Playboy Pleasure sex toys, from their lipstick-style vibes to their glass dildos. My all-time fave dildo from the brand is the Playboy Pleasure Jewels King Multi-Play Glass Dildo. (If you’ve yet to experience what an absolute delight glass toys can be, I recommend perusing Playboy Pleasure’s Jewels collection.)

This dildo has everything you want in a dildo. The super-smooth, body-safe borosilicate glass is easy to clean, and the bulbous head (which is curved just right) feels delicious whether you’re using it vaginally or anally. I also love the length (5.5 insertable inches) and thickness—it’s the toy I run to when I want to feel full.

It’s also pretty to look at and shatter-resistant. I’ve accidentally dropped it a few times, and it’s yet to crack or chip. (If you do manage to break it, it comes with a five-year manufacturer’s warranty.) And if you’re into temperature play, you can pop it in some warm or cool water for a few minutes beforehand.

Best butt plug: Playboy Pleasure Jewels Plug

The first butt plug I ever owned was made by JimmyJane. It was glass (of course; I love glass toys), but it’s no longer available. The only thing I’ve found that compares is the Playboy Pleasure Jewels Plug.

This plug has a bulbous head, a narrow neck, and a flared base for easier insertion (and safety). Like the dildo mentioned above, this borosilicate glass toy is super smooth and easy to clean—just be sure to use lube, and lots of it.

But if I’m being honest, my favorite “butt plug” isn’t actually a butt plug at all. It’s the Booster Bullet by FemmeFunn. This mini bullet vibrator fits perfectly and doesn’t fall out when I reach climax (whether I’m alone or with my partner). Yes, you’ll need lube for this, too—but you’ll need lube anytime you’re dealing with anal play. Plus, the vibrations give it an extra oomph when you want more, and your partner can usually feel them, too.

HOW WE CHOSE THE BEST SEX TOYS FOR WOMEN

Price: Dollar amount is a biggie for a lot of people. In this economy, it can be hard to justify going to dinner, let alone splurging on a new vibrator. However, according to certified sex educator Casey Murphy, you shouldn’t compromise your safety or pleasure to save money.
“There are many brands that offer unique, premium products with high-quality materials, a reliable lifespan, and manufacturer warranties—which is not the case for all Amazon products,” says Murphy. “Rock bottom prices are actually a huge red flag, as alluring as they may be for budget-conscious consumers.”

Material: I love sex toys that feel good in my hands and even better where it counts. I avoid anything made from rubber or “jelly” materials, which can contain porous, potentially toxic materials that harbor bacteria (yuck). Instead, I look for body-safe (platinum-cured) silicone, borosilicate glass, and stainless steel.

“The sex toy industry is unregulated, and some manufacturers take advantage of a lot of loopholes with materials and ingredients,” says Murphy. “Look out for subtle tricks in product descriptions. For example, a ‘silicone blend’ aka ‘lifelike’ material, or anything with ‘skin’ (second skin, realistic skin, etc.), is not pure silicone—they’re blended with porous materials like thermoplastic elastomer, which are not body-safe.”

Design: The overall design of a sex toy is important for accessibility, comfort, and safety. That’s why the sex toys on this list have thoughtful, ergonomic designs that consider the physiology of vulvas and clitorises in their shape, size, and features.

Functionality: When it comes down to it, only you know what feels best for your body. So, this list includes a wide range of possibilities. If you’re not sure what you’re looking for, here’s some advice from Suzannah Weiss, a marriage and family therapist, AASECT-certified sex educator, and resident sexologist for Fleshy.

“Think about what type of stimulation tends to be most pleasurable for you,” she says. “If you tend to stimulate your clitoris when you are masturbating, then try an external vibrator. If you really like oral sex, there are sex toys geared toward simulating oral; suction vibrators can be good for this. If you enjoy penetration, I would go with an internal vibrator or dildo. If you’re a sex nerd and want something high-tech, I’d consider looking for remote-controlled sex toys that let you or your partner choose the vibrations from an app.”

It’s funny to think that for all the fancy gearsets and electronics packed into the space-age frame of your ebike, its only contact to the ground (and by extension, yours too) is via two air filled balloons.

Ok, those tires are balloons that have an awful lot of technology built into them, despite being consumable products that don’t last long, and ones most people overlook. But it doesn’t change the fact that every turn, every stop, every pothole-induced bump absorbed or endured, and every crank of the pedal and electric motor is transmitted through those tires to the road.

Those balloons only work well if they’re filled to the correct tire pressure, and they’re constantly slowly leaking air. That means you’ve got to refill them regularly. Here’s how to do it.

How to air up YOur EBike tires: A guide

First off, you’ll want to find out the tires’ recommended air pressure range. Skinnier tires tend to require higher air pressure, measured as PSI (pounds per square inch), and fatter tires tend to require lower air pressure.

Luckily for you, bike tires usually have that information printed right on the sides. It’ll be raised rubber lettering, so you may need a flashlight to see it. If you look and see nothing, double-check, and still see nothing, then Google your bike tire—the brand and model names are written on the tires—for the recommended PSI.

Got it? Good. Now I hope you have an air pump handy. Bicycle-specific pumps tend to work best, in my experience, because you can place your feet on their legs to steady them. I use the Lezyne Classic Floor Pump.

Locate the air valves. They’re the only little stalks sticking up from the wheels, so you can’t miss ’em. Unscrew the plastic caps and put them in your pocket, where they can’t roll away or disappear into a carpet.

Your bike almost certainly has one of two types of valves: Presta or Schrader. Any bike-specific pump will come with an adapter that works with either one. If you’re using a generic air compressor, an automotive air pump, or a handheld air pump meant for inflating sports equipment, it’ll probably only fit Schrader valves. Presta valves are more specific to bikes.

From here, just connect the air pump’s hose to the valve stem and pump until the gauge reads within the PSI range recommended for the bike’s tires, or by the tire manufacturer online. Do this once a month to keep up with air leakage.

The post You Actually Need Special Fire Extinguishers for Electronics appeared first on VICE.

There’s not much time to figure out what to do when a fire breaks out. If that hypothetical seems like a bridge you’ll cross when you get to it, good luck. When it happens, your brain narrows, like a mental tunnel vision. I’d know. I’ve put out a few fires in my time.

You might even relax knowing that your workplace, apartment building, garage, or storage unit has fire extinguishers mounted in boxes on the walls for emergency use, so why bother buying your own?

Not every fire extinguisher is rated to put out electrical fires. There’s hardly a place entirely free of the threat of fire, and I know you have electronics nearby because you’re reading this. Buy a fire extinguisher rated for electrical fires. It’s a cheap piece of mind.

Here’s what to look for

Fire extinguishers are rated based on the types of combustible materials they can be used on. Class A-rated extinguishers put out fires fueled by wood, paper, cloth, and rubber. Class B refers to flammable liquids, such as gasoline, solvents, and oil-based paints.

Class C involves electrical equipment that can be electrically charged. So you need a fire extinguisher that sprays non-conductive fire retardant so that the person holding it doesn’t get electrocuted. Class D is for certain combustible materials, such as magnesium, which are uncommon, and Class K is for cooking fuel fires used in commercial restaurant kitchens.

Extinguishers can be rated for multiple uses. It’s not uncommon to find one rated ABC, meaning it handles all three types of fires. There are extinguishers rated for AC, but you may as well buy one rated ABC, since they’re inexpensive and cover a wide range of uses.

I’ve used ABC-rated extinguishers from Kidde and First Alert. I’d trust either with my home and personal safety. One will set you back only about $25.

And if you’re still not convinced, reasoning that you never think you’ll need it, nobody who’s ever needed one thought beforehand that they’d need it. Me included.

I spent a ridiculous amount of my early sex life thinking lube was something you only broke out if something was “wrong.” If bodies were into it, they’d just…handle it, right? Cut to me a few years later, realizing that dry friction is not a personality, and that “Lube is love, making ok sex good and good sex great,” as Dr. Shanna Katz Kattari, AASECT certified sexuality educator, and associate professor at the University of Michigan, puts it.

The real plot twist is how many kinds of lube there are and how intense the opinions get. There are water-based gels and silicone slip-n-slides, coconut-oil concoctions, numbing sprays, clitoral tingles, warming potions that sometimes feel like your junk just ate a jalapeño, and enough branding buzzwords to make your head spin. If you’ve ever stood in an aisle or scrolled a product page wondering what the hell to actually buy, you’re not alone.

So consider this your lube syllabus: what each type actually does, what’s best for which kind of sex, what to avoid, and how to build a little lube wardrobe so your nightstand is ready for whatever you (or your partners) are into.

Not All Lube Is Created Equal

“Not all lubricants are created equally—and some contain ingredients that aren’t ideal for your body, especially the super-absorbent mucous membranes of your genitals,” says sex educator Amy Baldwin, who’s also Uberlube’s lead educator. That’s the polite way of saying your bits deserve better than mystery goo.

Suzannah Weiss, sex therapist and resident sexologist for Fleshy, breaks it down into three big categories: water-based, silicone, and oil-based, plus hybrids that blend types. Each has a vibe and a “do not use this for that” warning attached.

Water-based Lube: The Overachiever

Water-based lube is the default option for a reason. It’s “the workhorse of lubes,” says Kattari, compatible with all body parts, all sex toy materials, and all safer-sex items. Weiss notes that these formulas are basically water plus thickeners like xanthan gum or agar-agar, which is why they’re so easy to clean up and work with everything from condoms to vibrators.

The catch: your body absorbs water-based lube faster, so it “doesn’t last as long,” Baldwin says. It can dry out or get goopy mid-session. Her tip (and Kattari’s) tip is to not just keep dumping more on. Sometimes you can “reactivate” it with a tiny bit of water or spit instead of layering on a fresh puddle.

Best for:

 • Vaginal sex (especially with condoms)
 • Most toys, including silicone
 • General, all-purpose use

Silicone Lube: The Long-Distance Runner

Silicone lubes are the “Energizer Bunny of lube,” Kattari says, noting that “just a little keeps going and going and going.” Baldwin describes them as silicone blended into a slick, long-lasting liquid with “very few other ingredients,” which is why they tend not to get sticky or evaporate. Weiss adds that silicone tends to be the longest-lasting in the moment and is “best for anal sex” because its thick, gooey texture creates a strong barrier between whatever’s going in and whatever’s receiving.

Silicone doesn’t get absorbed into the body, which makes it great for folks who react badly to some water-based formulas and for situations where you really don’t want to stop and reapply every five minutes, whether that’s anal, marathon sessions, shower sex, fisting (with the right product), or if you’re dealing with dryness. Baldwin points out that because silicone lube is less likely to alter pH, it can be a smart option for people prone to yeast infections or those trying to conceive.

Best for:

 • Anal sex
 • Shower sex
 • Long sessions or dryness
 • Condom use (latex and polyisoprene are fine)

Avoid:

 • Directly on silicone toys (unless they’re covered with a condom)

Oil-based Lube: Luxurious, But Fussy

Oil-based lubes come in two flavors: store-bought blends and DIY staples like coconut oil. Weiss says coconut oil can be gentle on the skin and has antifungal properties, while Kattari notes that oil-based lubes are “great for external massages of any body parts, jacking off, and some internal anal play” when condoms aren’t in the picture. Cady Moore, MPH, CSE AASECT-Certified Sexuality Educator at Age of Sexploration, calls a good oil-based product “long-lasting and moisturizing, and luxurious… like you’re giving your vulva a massage.”

Best for:

 • Handjobs and external play
 • Solo toy sessions with silicone toys (no condoms)
 • Massage-y, slow sex

Avoid:

 • Latex condoms or dental dams
 • Vaginal use if you’re prone to yeast infections

Hybrids, Flavors, Sensations, and Other Extras

Hybrid lubes mix water and silicone for a creamier feel. Baldwin says they can feel more like the creamy fluid bodies naturally produce and last longer than straight water-based formulas, while still being toy-friendly in most cases. They can still get a bit tacky over time, since they contain water.

What type of lube is best, depending on the kind of sex I’m having?

If you want to get slightly Type A about it (hi, same), here’s how the experts map lube to activity. Different types are lube can each be ideal for different types of sex. This is why it’s fun to have a plethora of lube on hand! So which lubes are good for handys, and which ones are good for bathtime? Let’s get into it!

Vaginal Penetration

Water-based or silicone is generally best, Weiss says, or oil-based if you’re not using condoms and you know your body likes it. Moore recommends having a dedicated pH-balanced water-based lube that matches vaginal acidity rather than fighting it.

Oral Sex

Flavored water-based lubes can make blowjobs and oral more playful. Just keep them external and clean up afterward to dodge infections.

Handjobs

Oil-based or a thinner, silky water-based lube can make hand stuff feel like a feature presentation. Moore literally keeps a dedicated “hand job lube” around that’s not meant for vulvas but is perfect for the ole HJ.

Anal Sex

Everyone agrees that anal requires lube, full stop. Silicone is usually MVP for its thickness and staying power, though Moore also likes a thick, gel-like water-based option for anal, since “the anus isn’t self-lubricating” and you want something that sticks around.

Shower Sex & Fisting

Silicone stands up to water and is thick enough for high-friction situations, though Kattari also loves customizable, mix-it-yourself water-based products for fisting so you can choose your ideal thickness.

How to Actually Stock Your Nightstand

If all of this sounds like overkill, Moore basically builds a “capsule wardrobe” of lube and calls it a day. Her ideal lineup includes:

 • A long-lasting silicone or hybrid like Uberlube that’s gentle on vulvas and anuses and doesn’t taste like chemical soup.
 • A thick, gel-like water-based lube (Sliquid Sassy–type vibes) for anal and toy play.
 • A handjob-friendly water-based lube that’s fluid and not too sticky.
 • A pH-balanced, vagina-friendly formula that respects your actual pH instead of steamrolling it.
 • A luxurious oil-based option for massage-y vulva or solo play.
 • One sensation lube (cooling, if that’s your thing) for when you want to mix it up.

Could you get by with just one bottle of decent water-based lube? Sure. But as Kattari says, “It is so easy to have not enough lube, and it’s very difficult to have too much.”

Safety, Shelf-Life, and When to Throw It Out

A couple of unsexy but important basics:

 • Check ingredients. Weiss and Kattari both flag petroleum, parabens, glycerin, and certain additives as potential irritants. If you’re prone to infections or have sensitive skin, simpler is usually better.
 • Respect condoms and toys. No oil with latex; no silicone on silicone toys unless they’re covered; water-based is your safest bet when in doubt.
 • Mind the expiration date. “Most lube bottles have expiration dates,” Weiss says, and you shouldn’t use them past that, since expired lube can introduce bacteria or irritate skin. If there’s no date, aim to use it within a year of opening.
 • Store it properly. Keep bottles sealed, at room temp, and toss anything that’s changed in smell or texture or suddenly feels stickier or off.

Even if you “get wet easily,” Weiss points out, lube often increases pleasure by smoothing out friction and reducing pain—and natural wetness usually decreases as sex goes on anyway. One meta-analysis she cites found that women reported better sexual well-being and less pain when they used lube. And for anal, it’s non-negotiable; the anus has zero built-in lubrication and tearing ups your STI risk.

So yes, your nightstand might end up looking like a tiny lube bar. But a few well-chosen bottles can mean less discomfort, more sensation, fewer micro-tears, and sex that actually feels like something your body wants to keep doing. Which, honestly, is the whole point.

One more year down, and one more year on which to look back at all the gadgets that made their debuts in 2025. Here’s a backward glance at the three best pieces of tech of the year that impressed me the most.

1. MacBook Air M4

The MacBook Air M4 is the best MacBook for most people. Gone are the days in which you had to balance the MacBook Air’s portability and entry-level price (for Apple, that is) against performance.

Serious video and photo editors will still want to pick up the MacBook Pro, but the MacBook Air M4’s Apple-designed M4 chip is more than powerful enough for most tasks.

2. Sony WH-1000XM6

Sony’s over-the-ear noise-canceling headphones got a sequel this year in the form of the (deep inhalation) WH-1000XM6. These are the first new flagship headphones from Sony since the predecessor, the WH-1000XM5, launched in mid-2022.

The WH-1000XM6 was more evolutionary than revolutionary. Sony says the WH-1000XM6’s HD Noise Canceling Processor QN3 is seven times faster than the processor of the previous-generation WH-1000XM5, and its 12 microphones “allow for more accurate and adaptive noise cancellation to fit the user’s environment” compared to the WH-1000XM5’s eight microphones.

3. DJI Mavic 4 Pro

Chinese brand DJI dominates the consumer drone market, and so it was with frustration that American fans realized they couldn’t receive the latest model, the Mavic 4 Pro, earlier this year, along with the rest of the world.

Well, DJI finally launched it in October, ahead of a December 23, 2025, deadline by which it ultimately was put on an FCC list prohibiting it from introducing new drones to the American market. DJI is allowed to keep selling drones that it introduced to the US before the ban, so the Mavic 4 Pro is safe. It just might be the last new DJI drone the US gets for quite a while.

Are Men Scared of an Oral-Sex Toy Machine? Here’s What They Said https://www.vice.com/en/article/i-asked-men-if-they-were-intimidated-by-this-many-tongued-oral-sex-machine/ Fri, 26 Dec 2025 21:01:00 +0000 https://www.vice.com/?p=323381 Before I tried the Lovehoney Sqweel 2 Oral Sex Simulator for myself, I had to wonder: Was a sex toy with ten "lapping silicone tongues" threatening to heterosexual men?

The post Are Men Scared of an Oral-Sex Toy Machine? Here’s What They Said appeared first on VICE.

Masculinity has a reputation for being fragile, particularly as it relates to female sexuality. For some men, there is something uniquely terrifying about women who can get off without dicks ramming inside them. While male feminists pride themselves on their commitment to the female orgasm—advertising constantly and loudly that they love giving oral, as if they’re the first and last man to ever say this—men do harbor insecurities about the technology women use to get off more efficiently than we ever could with humans. As one guy friend told me, “I don’t want my dick to be disrupted.”

Yet disruptions are coming. One day, I opened my mailbox to find the Lovehoney Sqweel 2 Oral Sex Simulator, a pink-and-white wheel with ten “lapping silicone tongues” that you put on your vagina to mimic oral sex. The device, which resembles a Hubba Bubba Bubble Tape dispenser, has three speeds and goes in two directions. The product description reads, “Its reverse functionality allows you to switch the direction of the tongues for truly impressive oral sex skillz, as a flicker setting rocks the wheel back and forth to wow you into a powerful orgasmic stupor.”

Before I tried the Sqweel 2 Oral Sex Simulator, I wondered: How would all the heterosexual men in my life feel about a device that might make their “oral sex skillz”—and thus, in many ways, them—obsolete?

“IT HAS TOO MANY TONGUES,” a guy named Jack said when I showed him the product. “Why does it have to have so many?”

Jack says he isn’t threatened by women using vibrators, but he is intimidated by devices that directly replicate, possibly better, something his penis or mouth could do. “I actually do like performing oral, so if my girlfriend were to buy [a Sqweel 2], it would definitely feel a bit like I wasn’t measuring up to the task,” he told me. “Similarly, I’ve always found vibrators to be less intimidating than regular dildos. Somehow, the fact that it vibrates in this way that would be physically impossible for me to replicate makes me feel like it’s not a thing I’m expected to measure up against.”

Another man, who asked that I refer to him as “Asahd” to honor DJ Khaled’s son, said he would only feel insecure if a woman preferred to use the Sqweel 2 when his tongue was perfectly available. “But if I couldn’t be there, and she used it, totally cool,” he said. “Maybe I could even learn a thing or two. I’ve been practicing with my hand.”

Ultimately, Asahd says he welcomes advances in women’s sex toys—they don’t make him feel more redundant or insecure than he already feels.

“We live in a world where everything is optimized through technology, and it would be naïve to think sex wouldn’t be treated the same way,” he said. “The female orgasm is much more nuanced and complex than its male counterpart, and thus can require additional methods of stimulation to come to fruition.”

Another man, Nick, echoed this sentiment. Whatever a woman can use to get off is great, as long as she still likes boning him, he said. But he’s not sure how he would react if a partner whipped out the Sqweel 2, or any vibrator, while they were hooking up.

“My thinking is that I may have some lizard-brain negative reaction to a vibrator being used while we’re having sex,” Nick said. “It would probably make me feel inadequate and less intimate. I don’t really care what she does by herself, though. I wouldn’t want her policing the type of things I do by myself.”

Like Jack, Nick seemed to be at peace with his limitations as a human man. “I’m sure there are some parts of a vibrator or robot dildo or mechanical tongue or whatever that are better than me,” he told me. “As long as she still enjoys sex with me, I’m chilling.”

Most of the men I spoke with said they weren’t bothered by women’s sex toys, even the tongue machine—in fact, they said they liked the presence of technological aids in the modern sexual landscape, because they meant their partners are likely in touch with their sexual desires. But it’s hard to tell whether guys said this because they were truly unafraid or just wanted to present that way. Who knows—if they found the Sqweel 2 in their girlfriends’ underwear drawers, maybe they’d have, as Nick put it, a “lizard-brain negative reaction.”

But they probably don’t have much to worry about yet. After trying the Sqweel 2, I made my own assessment: It’s a fun novelty item that certainly does the job, but the ten “lapping silicone tongues” don’t come close to the feeling of an actual tongue, even when I added lube for moisture. I came faster than I would have with a guy, but there was something missing from the experience—perhaps the element of sharing that satisfaction with someone. A newer, more advanced tongue-wheel might eventually make straight men’s tongues feel spiritually unemployed, but for now, they’re still in business.

If The Sqweel 2 Seems TOO INTIMIDATING, Try These On Your Partner Instead

Lovehoney G-Tickler Clitoral and G-Spot Vibrator

This one is a friendly little dual-stim option that’s slim, straightforward, and great when you want to use a sex toy that can join the night without stealing all the attention away from your penis.

Lovehoney Ignite 20 Function Finger Vibrator

You slip this on, touch your partner like normal, and let the buzz do all the heavy lifting. It’s a solid choice for foreplay, teasing, and adding more sensation without introducing a gadget that comes with a detailed instruction manual.

LELO IDA Wave Rechargeable App-Controlled Dual Stimulation Vibrator

This one’s for couples who want something high-end and intense without that cartoonish tongue energy. It’s app-controlled with dual stimulation, and it has an internal motion that’s designed to mimic that “come hither” move people always claim they’re doing correctly.
